Insured Patients

Our service is affordable as we are in contract or contracting with most of insurance companies. We currently accept Medicare, AARP, Aetna, APIPA, Bridgeway, Healthnet, Tricare, United Healthcare, Cigna, Geha, Triwest, and Self-Pay.

For physician-ordered lab diagnostics or imaging studies (X-ray, ultrasound etc…), the insurance carrier will pay the fees at the same rate as if they were ordered from a traditional office. Professional fees are dictated by the insurance company. They are comparable to those of office-based physicians in the same specialty. There are typically no office co-pays but we do charge a Trip Fee (see below). When seeing multiple patients on scheduled date, like when seeing patients in assisted living facility or other communal setting, there are no additional charges.

Patients without Insurance

For uninsured patients we charge $200 per hour. If uninsured patients need lab work or imaging, they are billed additionally for those services. Trip Fee

Trip-fee compensates for our travel time and the lost income or “opportunity cost” associated with seeing patients at their home instead of the physician’s office. This fee is not covered by any insurances and is due on arrival of the provider. Trip-fee applies when seeing individual patient in private residence or hotel, as well as when seeing a patient in communal setting on unscheduled days or for after hours care. Trip-fee is waived for multiple patients on scheduled date, like when seeing patients in assisted living facility or other communal setting.

  • After-hours- (call)**  This varies based on time of need and location and availability of provider

Unscheduled and after-hours fee charges are only applicable for urgent problems that must be evaluated promptly and cannot be managed effectively by phone. We always ask facilities to confirm trip charges with family members before the patient is seen. If the family does not accept the trip charge, we cannot see the patient.

Charity Care

We on occasion can waive trip charges to some patients with financial difficulties, but we can only afford to do that for a certain percentage of patients. We will strive to see all in need!
