Ralph has extensive financial, operational and administrative management healthcare experience serving in various roles prior to joining Cholla. He has been an Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Consultant of various privately held companies in Arizona and has held financial management roles in the personnel and real estate finance services industries.
Dr. Richards knew from a very young age that she would someday become a doctor. She began her education at Georgetown University where she earned her B.A. in Sociology. She went on to receive her Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, followed by her residency in Internal Medicine at Franklin Square Hospital in Maryland.
In her 30+ years as a physician, Dr. Richards has filled various roles such as Primary Care Provider, Community Physician as well as Medical Director. She has worked in diverse areas of the medical field as well, from preventive medicine to hospice care.
Dr. Richards’ passion for helping people has guided her not only through her work experiences, but in a volunteer capacity as well. She has assisted refugees in finding the help they need and to regain control of their futures. Dr. Richards’ objective has always been to provide care and services that enable people to lead better lives.
Dr. Kasa comes out of retirement as an Orthopedic Surgeon and joins our practice as Associate Medical Director and General Practitioner. He is from Chicago and attended University of Illinois at Chicago for undergraduate and medical school. He attended the University of Illinois affiliated hospitals for a general surgery rotating internship and Orthopedic Residency Program. He completed his training in 1984 and practiced in Arizona from 1984 through 2014. He is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and was formally board-certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).
Dr. Kasa’s continued passion for medicine; to promote, maintain, supervise, and restore health, identify health risks, and assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic illnesses are his main objectives.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Kasa plays music in a classical rock band and Latin jazz band and also plays classical piano.
Dr. Karandish, Associate Medical Director of Cholla Medical Group, is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician & a graduate of St. Vincent Hospital / New York Weil Medical College in 2009. His work experience consists of positions of Assistant Professor & Researcher at University of Miami Internal Medicine Department, medical directorship of various clinics in South Florida & as a Hospitalist in various medical centers in both Florida & Arizona.
His areas of interest and research include Rheumatology, Allergy, Sports Medicine, Preventative Medicine, Regenerative Medicine & Cosmetics. Dr. Karandish has been one of the pioneers of regenerative medicine, PRP and stem cell treatments for both regenerative & cosmetic modalities in Arizona since 2014. He has enjoyed participating in the medical care of North Arizona Suns Basketball team since 2015.
Dr. Karandish is also an advanced pianist and composer with a degree in music composition and performs regularly during his free time in the United States and abroad. His other hobbies include water sports, foreign films, skiing & world cultures.
Dr. Teja Vasamsetty is Cholla’s Associate Medical Director. Dr. Vasamsetty attended J.J.M. Medical College of Medicine in Davangere, India. She completed her Residency for Internal Medicine at the East Carolina University/Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
Dr. Vasamsetty’s passion for helping people has led her to better clinical outcomes for her patients and making each of her patients a top priority.
Raven is a certified Physician Assistant (PA). As a PA, she was trained at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, with an educational model similar to medical school, and received a Master’s of Medical Sciences. She is passionate about internal and palliative medicine.
Raven grew up in Chandler, AZ. She attended the University of Arizona and studied Physiology while obtaining her Bachelor’s of Science. In her free time, Raven enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, reading, and traveling.
Amanda was born in Colorado and has lived in Arizona for the last 9 years. Her background in nursing is in Trauma, Intensive Care, and Medical Intensive Care. She was a part of Dignity Health’s ethics board and believes in giving the patients the best possible care.
She completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Grand Canyon University and has a national accreditation from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Besides providing excellent patient care, she enjoys spending time with her two children, traveling and exploring all that Arizona has to offer.
Anna has been a nurse for 27 years. She finished her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Manila Doctors College in the Philippines.
Arizona has been Anna’s home for 15 years. She finished her Masters of Science degree in Nursing through the Family Nurse Practitioner program at University of Phoenix in 2013 with a national accreditation from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Anna’s passion is to care for her patients. Her main objectives for each and every patient are to promote, maintain, supervise, and restore health, identify health risks, and assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic illnesses are her main objective for each and every patient.
Aside from caring for her patients, Anna enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids.
Marceline was born and raised in Cameroon, a country located in West-Central Africa. She relocated to the United States with her family for further studies. She attended Kansas State University where she graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (with specialty in Family Nurse Practice) from the University of Iowa. She worked as a Registered Nurse on the Neurology & Neurosurgery Surgery Unit of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 2012 to 2018. Earlier this year, Marceline and her family relocated to Chandler, AZ, to pursue new work opportunities.
Marceline’s passion is to care for her patients; to promote, maintain, supervise, and restore health, identify health risks and assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
Terri is an Arizona native who has over 20 years of nursing experience, providing care to patients of all ages in a variety of settings. She served 10 years of active duty service for the U.S. Army caring for patients all over the world to include military soldiers and their family members. Prior to joining the Cholla family, she worked as an academic counselor and nursing instructor at both the University of Phoenix and Penn Foster College. Terri earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas while stationed in San Antonio. She is currently working towards her Master’s degree at the University of Phoenix – Family Nurse Practitioner program. Outside of work, Terri dedicates her free time to rescuing and fostering homeless cats and dogs until they can be placed in their forever homes.
Jocelyn was born and raised in Phoenix. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Upon graduation, she moved back to Phoenix and has been with Cholla Medical Group since late 2017. As Project Manager, she manages multiple projects that have a direct impact on improving medical operations. In her spare time, she enjoys the company of family and friends, reading, and exploring new places.
Veronica is our Team Leader for our Patient Services Specialist department. She joined Cholla Medical Group, Inc. in early March of 2017 after deciding to make a difficult career change from Department of Corrections to the Medical field. Veronica is currently the Operations Team Lead for Cholla Medical and is responsible for a variety of administrative functions. Her favorite part of her job is interacting with the patients and the camaraderie she shares with her coworkers. Veronica likes to spend her free time doing outdoor activities, listening to music, being with family and friends and spending quality time with her daughter.
Alyssa was born and raised in Mesa, AZ. She joins Cholla Medical Group as part of our Patient Services Specialists. She has been in the medical field for 6 years and was previously a caregiver at assisted living homes. She has a passion for working with the elderly because she feels that they become like family. Alyssa wants to go back to school to study natural medicines and also has a big interest in marine biology. When she’s not at work, she likes spending time with her family, listening to music, and exploring new places with friends.
Jessika is our Back Office Medical Assistant and leads the Back Office Clinical Team. She graduated from Carrington College in Mesa, AZ with her Medical Assistant degree in 2012. With over six years of experience, she offers a variety of skills and a sincere approach to patient care. As a concierge medical professional, she interacts with patients and families on a daily basis. When not leading her team, she enjoys exploring the outdoors or walking her dogs.
Briana attended Pima Medical Institute and graduated in 2015 with a Medical Assistant Certificate. She has been with Cholla Medical Group for a year and half. Briana’s hands-on approach to caring for her patients is a passion that has been with her since an early age. She makes a daily personal goal to bring smiles to all her patients. When not assisting doctors, she enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors, especially camping with all her family.
Alondra was born and raised in Phoenix. She is currently at our office as a Medical Assistant and attending Grand Canyon University as a nursing student. Since an early age she knew that she wanted to work in the medical field; helping people, endless learning and making an impact are all reasons she ultimately chose a career in the healthcare field. After graduation, Alondra plans on specializing in the neonatal intensive care unit. When not assisting the providers, she enjoys exploring new places and hiking.
